Ballybunion’s Old Course is the southwest links many Ryder Cup visitors add either side of Adare. Black Car Dublin drives Shannon Airport, Killarney hotels and Adare / Limerick to the club so the round is about wind and dunes, not about who has the rental keys.

Travel with Black Car Chauffeur Service Dublin — premium transport across Ireland and Northern Ireland — from airport transfers and business travel to private tours, weddings, and events.

From Shannon or Adare you are typically looking at about an hour 15–30 minutes. From Killarney, about 90 minutes. From Dublin it is a long day — better as part of a multi-day tour, not a dawn raid.

Day patterns that respect the tee time

Morning collect from Adare after a rest day, play Ballybunion, return to Limerick. Or Shannon arrival, play Ballybunion only if the flight is brutally early — otherwise overnight Listowel or Killarney and play fresh. The Old Course and Cashen share a town and not a clock. Tell us which tee time.

Typical drives to Ballybunion

Bags, vans, and the village

Four passengers plus staff bags = van. Non-golfers can stay in town or walk the beach on a wait-and-return quote. We are not a caddie master. We will not store clubs after you fly home.

Ryder Cup visitors

Do not play Ballybunion the same morning you need a Cup session in Adare. The photographs will be of the dashboard clock. Split the days. Limerick or Listowel sleep is kinder than pretending the map is smaller than it is.

Pairing with Lahinch or Tralee

Two links in two days is a trip. Two links in one day is a dare. If you insist on 36, say so early so we staff a van and an unromantic timetable.

What to send

Tee time, which course, pickup hotel or airport, bags, whether partners stay in the car. Flight number if SNN is the start.

Dunes, clocks, and the village

Ballybunion town can feed partners while you play. Agree the collect time before you disappear into the pro shop. A “we’ll see how it goes” collect is how someone waits on a wall in the wind.

Old Course tee sheets are not a suggestion. If your agent moved the time, forward the email. We would rather sit ten minutes at the club than meet you as you jog.

From Adare, this is a proper outing. From Dublin, it is a tour day or it is a mistake. We will drive Dublin–Ballybunion if you pay for the day; we will also tell you that you will remember the M7 more than hole 11.

Cashen and Old Course on the same day is 36 holes plus logistics. Only if you asked for a dare. Most humans want lunch and a pint instead of a second loop.

To get a fixed quote for this Ballybunion chauffeur job, send passenger count, luggage and golf-bag numbers, the pickup (hotel name or flight number), the drop-off, the date, and a mobile for the day. Keep the brief on this journey so we do not mix it with a different venue. If the date is close, call +353 852 400 955. We reply in hours on a normal brief. Capacity in peak weeks is finite — early holds beat a perfect PDF sent late.

Frequently asked questions

Old Course vs Cashen?

Tell us which tee time. The drop is the same town; the clock is not.

Can non-golfers go to the beach?

Yes, on a wait-and-return quote.

Shannon same morning as the round?

Only if the flight is early enough. We will be blunt.

Killarney hotel pickup?

Yes. Allow the 90-minute logic, not 60.
